Ch. 3 of 5. A shortcut to content clarity

Fact.

Lots of very smart business owners don’t know what to write – and if they do, they don’t know what format it should be in or when to send it.

Now don’t underestimate the scale of this problem.

Remember, if your voice goes silent, your audience simply goes elsewhere.

Worse still, your competitors will be more than happy to pick up where you left off. Just for a moment, imagine how much business you’re losing simply because you’re not publishing regular content…

OUCH.

Now I know there are lots of really good excuses for letting your voice go silent. For example:

  • You don’t have time
  • You can’t write
  • You don’t know what to say and get stumped by the blank page
  • You worry your audience won’t be interested
  • You have so many ideas you don’t know where to start
  • You feel overwhelmed and so you procrastinate
  • Etc.

Let me confide in you…

I let my voice go silent in the past too. My reason? I worried I had nothing of interest to say.

But I promise you; regardless of your excuse the outcome is the same…

If you don’t create content on a regular basis, you keep your message and your business small. It’s the reason you’ve got to pull yourself out of ‘content silence’.

And the easiest way you can do this is to unleash the power of your personality and get clear on what content to create NOW, NEXT, and LATER.

For example:

  • When should you send emails – and for what purpose?
  • Why should you blog – and what should you write about?
  • What needs to be on your homepage?
  • When should you create an e-book?

I answer all these questions (and more) at www.gemwriting.co.uk/make-smart-content-decisions. So go take a look and let me know what you think.

Same time tomorrow?

P.S. In my next email, I’ll reveal some of the unexpected bonuses you can enjoy when you craft personality rich content and get your voice ‘out there’. I think you’ll be surprised…
